Robin, twenty-eighty, has had some major experiences in her life. Her family had a big part in it along, with a lot of support from her sister. Her mom and dad are both professors working at a university together. She is not married but she does have a boyfriend that is waiting for her at home and she said that if she does have kids that she is going to raise them with a home-like life. She doesn't want them to watch T.V. all day nor does she want them on the computer more than necessary. She wants them to grow up with knowledge and respect for others and she doesn't want them taking things for granted.
Robin is currently working two jobs, but she loves them both equally. She is a massage therapistas well as working with Kenai Fjords Tours as a deck hand. She teaches a bunch of kids from the age groups of second through twelfth grade about marine animals. She says her favorite animal would have to be a whale, but she likes all the marine animals in general. She explains that they are so fascinating, complex and intelligent because the fact that they can communicate with each other, swim all the way from Alaska to Hawaii and memorize their route in the process is just amazing. Also, their size can range from sixty to eighty feet long, and yet they’re still so graceful its kind of like they are the dinosaurs of our time. One time, Robin went free diving in Hawaii and about twelve feet down she could hear the whales “singing”. She has never heard anything like it and it almost brought her to tears.
Robin loves her job and everything about it. “Alaska is the place for me” she explains. Everyday is different. The mountains are beautiful and it’s so refreshing. “People are friendly and so nice, I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so glad to have this job, and I am so happy to be here.”
Robin has always had an adventurous personality and is an independent person who is always interested in different things. She also likes to hike and bike up mountains. It’s such a good feeling to accomplish climbing or biking up a mountain, as well as a relief because you put so much effort into getting up and the payoff easily outweighs the sacrifice. She is currently working on getting all the way up to the highest peak of Mount Allis. It’s hard, but it will surely be worth it in the end.
