Starting Out In Alaska

We finally pulled into our new campground in Seward .It was nice and it had a lot of trees, but one of the favorite features was that it had real pluming. Once we were all done exploring the campground, I noticed a really nice resort across the street. The resort really fit in with its environment. It was a log cabin with huge glistening mountains rising right up behind it. Well we decided to go check out its gift shop, and that’s when I meet Rachel Wenger.
Rachel Wenger is nineteen years old and is originally from Boston, Massachusetts. Rachel’s parents were here in Alaska while Rachel was looking for a job and they saw that the Seward US Army Resort was hiring. When they told Rachel that she could get a job up in Alaska, she liked the idea and decided to go for it. Rachel is currently working at the gift store/lobby. She is also living at the resort while working there has been there for about three weeks. She enjoys living there because she is always close to work, and she is never late. Rachel has been going to college at the Tufts University and in the summer she is taking classes in Anchorage. Rachel is majoring in international relations. She would like to do something a long the lines of the peace core or the UN, as well as something that involves traveling.
Rachel’s favorite thing about Alaska so far is its beauty. She also loves being outside in the Alaskan wilderness. She has done many new things such as hiking the Harding Icefield and learning to cast a fishing real. She also took a boat tour and saw a humpback whale as well as shooting a gun for her very first time. The only thing she hasn’t really done is travel through Alaska. She has really only been to Anchorage and Seward. She really enjoys being here in Alaska.
Rachel is glad her parents found her a job at the Seward US Army Resort. She likes working there as she is taking classes in Anchorage. She likes living here in a Alaska because it is so pretty and she can’t wait to see more.
