Carrying On The Military Job

     Jeremy Jones has had a job in Alaska. His job isn’t any normal job though that any other person would be working as in Alaska. Jeremy is a hydro materials technician in the United States Air Force. He is influenced to do his job by past generations who served in the military.

Q: Where do you work and how long have you been working there?
A: I work in the United States Air Force and I’ve been working there for five years.

Q:What do you do to contribute to the Air Force?
A: I am a hydro-materials technician.

Q: What is the most interesting thing that you have done in your job?
A: I get the oppurtunity on several occasions to work with cilvil engineering units that have built schools and hospitals, things of that nature, all around the world in places like Panama and Haiti. That has been the most important part of my job in the Air Force.

Q: What brought you to Alaska?
A: The military brought me to Alaska.

Q: What inspired you to do your job?
A: My whole family has served in the military. My grandfather, uncle, and cousins all served in the military.

Q: What age did you start serving in the military?
A: When I was eighteen years old.

Q: What brought you to climb the Exit Glacier today?
A: I decided to climb the Exit Glacier today because it is a beautiful day and this is one of the best hikes aound here.

Q: What do you like about Alaska?
A: I like the open spaces and the natural sorroundings.
