Sue and Darrell Hartman had a list of places they wanted to go, and luckily for me, Alaska was their next target. They are visiting Alaska from their hometown of Gainesville, Florida. Sue is a native to Florida, and is a fifth grade teacher. Her husband, Darrell, is a night editor for a local newspaper. The couple enjoys hiking, camping, and bird watching. This was one of the reasons why the Hartman’s wanted to visit Alaska- to see various kinds of birds and wildlife. Adding to their plethora of hobbies, Sue and Darrell love to travel to remote places. Out of everywhere they have visited, their favorite place was the Galapagos Islands.
The couple arrived in Alaska June tenth, and has gotten to know the Kenai Peninsula as well as the rest of Seward, Homer, and Denali. They plan on returning home June twenty-fifth, after exploring the wilderness that Alaska has to offer. The Hartman’s hope to visit many more remote places and enjoy the rest of their stay in Alaska!
