Alaska Is:

Alaska is…
Secluded from reality,
Different than the lower 48,
Full with adventure,
Owned by the wildlife,
Opportunity for new beginnings,
A chance for new friendships to catch fire,
A place for peace and love,
Alaska is my second home.

Final Reflection:
I was worried that my second year to Alaska would be disappointing. I was SO wrong! I have met many new kids and have connected with many of them. Alaska is a great place to start new friendships. When you come to Alaska, you need to leave behind the grudges and impressions you had on others. You see these people as themselves without pressure from t he media and their surroundings. It is so much more of an experience if you give everyone a second chance. That’s what I did this year as well as last year and I have made mew friends and strengthened old friendships. One example is my friend Erin. Erin is my best friend and we came friends last year in Alaska. Before the trip we used to be friends but then split apart. In Alaska we left behind the little things and have become great friends. I tried this again with all the new people on this trip. I started many new friendships. This trip has been amazing. A new year, new people, same place, but new experiences!
