Alaska Is:
Alaska is already a very memorable trip, even though we’re only a little more that halfway through the approximately three-week long AGLP trip. I’m just pretty much repeating what I’ve already said in my journal entries when I say that. I love Alaska so much, man! No doubt in my mind, it’s the best trip I’ve ever been on. The scenery is AWESOME, and all the things we’ve done so far have been really fun overall. Also, everyone’s been insanely nice to me, even the people I didn’t know at all during the school year. So obviously, I’m loving the trip and can’t wait to apply next year!

Final Reflection:
First off, I’ll say that without a doubt in my mind, I’m definitely applying next year. Also, Ill recommend an application to any younger students who will be in eighth grade next year. It’s been a life-changing experience here in Alaska; I’ve gotten to know a lot of people during the AGLP trip and I’ve learned so many memorable lessons in teamwork. The last hug time was so emotional; all the leaders and junior leaders were crying and most of my fellow students were too. Sadly, I’m forced to search for flaws in the trip’s planning. However, there’s not much to suggest here. I think the only thing that could be better about the trip is more open lunches.
That stunk; I didn’t want to do that. Like I said, in my opinion, the Alaska Great Lakes Project is nearly perfect and even though I miss home as the trip wraps up, I know that as soon as I get there, I’ll miss Alaska; actually, I miss it already. Keep up the good work!
