Alaska Is:
Alaska is amazing. There are truly no words to describe it. Every single day I’m here, it’s a new experience. The mountains, valleys, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, and fjords are all so breathtaking. Alaska is beauty, peace, spirituality, and realization. You can really discover who you truly are. It’s a chance to give up the stress and things that you don’t really need. I know that I’ve discovered things I never knew before. Climbing Mt. Healy was my first mountain. It was kind of like the struggles it took us to get to Alaska. It was pretty easy and relaxed at first, and then I reached some major rocks and steep slopes. But when we got to the top, the struggles were all worth it. Alaska is nature at its best. When we went on our boat tour, we saw the whales surfacing for air. It made you realize how beautiful our planet is. So, to me, Alaska is a place of wonder, excitement, and true beauty. It’s a place that we can all call home.

Final Reflection:
Alaska was the most amazing place I’ve ever been. The sky, lakes, mountains, and everything else--it’s just breathtaking. If I could describe Alaska in one word it would be beauty. When we flew over those mountains on the airplane, I knew that this trip would bring memories of a lifetime. Everyone has changed so much on this trip. These’ no “groups” or “cliques.” Everyone can hang out with whoever. New friends were made, and families were remembered. We’ve all cried together, climbed mountains together, seen some of our highest highs and lowest lows. We have been forever changed. We are all a family. We’ve been through so much together, its’ hard not to be. The hardest part of the trip isn’t leaving your family and friends behind, or not showering every day. It’s realizing that it’s over. You have nothing more to look forward to except the day you might possibly get the chance to visit beautiful Alaska once again.
