Alaska Is:
Alaska is God’s hands on the earth, it is grizzlies and their babies, caribou and moose, it is Dall sheep and arctic ground squirrels. Alaska is sweat and satisfaction. It is comradary and teamwork. It is the finding of oneself and one’s strength in the land and the water and the breeze and in the people you meet.

Final Reflection:
I didn’t come to Alaska with any particular goals except to keep the participants safe, help where I could, spend time with my daughter, and see Alaska. Let the experiences roll. What I found was dedicated, organized director and his equally dedicated return adults. New friends were made and old friendships enriched. The satisfaction of watching the participants learn about themselves and grow within themselves was soul warming. The camaraderie and teamwork, the caring, was extraordinary. I learned things about myself and found new strengths. I leave Alaska with a renewed appreciation of God’s creations, on the land, in the water and the air, and within the people around me.
