Alaska Is:
Alaska is the last truly wild and free place. It is my love and my foster home. It is where I can escape the constraints of scholarly expectation and JUST BE.

Final Reflection:
I fell in love my eighth grade year. Returning to the mountains and tundras was like putting on an old coat. My eyes were relieved to see mountains again. Leaving now seems too soon. I missed my family and friends, but I’d rather they come to me.
I’ve had an amazing trip. I learned a lot about myself, a lot about leadership, and made many new friends. My only regret is the hiking boots I brought; they gave me a blister on my toe and are working on a new one on the back of my ankle. Being a senior this year in high school, I don’t know if I’ll be coming back with AGLP. I do know that I’ll come back. How can I stay away from my first true love?
