Alaska Is:
Alaska is a home away from home for most. If one could experience what we experience, they would know why we try so hard to get into this program. As a junior leader, I have already been here once, and I have learned new things and taught new things to other people. This makes me feel better about myself, knowing that I had made someone else’s trip that much better. I too went through the same process to get here, and now that I am here, I am glad that I made the choice to venture back to the last frontier. Going into my final year of high school, I knew I needed to make the decision as to if I would make my final trip back. Alaska has a special place in my heart and will never be replaced. So for my final reflection; to all future participants good luck, and to all future junior leaders, keep these kids in line. Have the time of your life!

Final Reflection:
In my final day in Alaska, I have come to several conclusions. First of all, becoming a leader has made a huge change in my life. It has made me an all around better person, and I am glad that I have made this adventure to truly find myself. Next, I have realized that becoming a flexible person is very important, because one needs to be able to adjust to the people around them to make an entire group happy. Lastly, with most likely this being my last trip to Alaska, I have learned that I should live very day as if it is my last. Who knows when you will have an experience such as this again in one’s life so my advice to future AGLP leaders and participants is, I wish them the best of luck and have a great and safe trip.
