Alaska Is:
       Alaska is a place of natural and serene beauty. It is a place of quiet understanding. It is a place where the hand of man has not crushed down upon the land and conquered its forests and rivers. Alaska is one of a kind and no place could substitute for it. Alaska is the wilderness, the people, and the animals. Alaska is Alaska. 

Final Reflection:
        It is once in a lifetime that you are able to see the amazingly beautiful state that is Alaska. On this trip I have lost and gained a lot of things. Losing the childish behavior of an eighth grader and gaining the maturity of a freshman. Some new friendships have been made and some old ones have been broken, but the memories will always stay fresh in my mind. Form the bonding of hug time to the teamwork of climbing a mountain, Alaska will always remind me of the people I’ve been with and the places I’ve seen. I hope to come back but if I can’t, I will never forget the lush forests and the snow capped mountains. I only hope that Alaska will stay untouched and that man truly will only be a visitor in its environment. Alaska is an always will be a one-of-a-kind place.
