Alaska Is:
Alaska is not what I though it would be. It is so much better! I never thought I would see such beautiful things just driving down the road. You just look out the window and you see colossal mountains, some with snow and others with pine trees. You can even see bears or moose, just two animals out of many here in Alaska. I feel so lucky to be here on this trip with the other AGLP participants. I will never forget this beautiful experience.

Final Reflection:
I don’t even think I can explain Alaska in words. It’s more like a feeling; many new friendships and the best experience I have ever had.
There were so many new emotions and experiences. Some people climbed their first mountains here, and when they got to the top, it was like a whole new feeling of proud. I know I can’t believe that I made it up two mountains. Plus, I don’t think that I would have wanted to share such a wonderful experience with anyone other than the near 80 people I was with.
Everyone was so comforting and caring on this trip that it made me feel like I had added almost 80 more people to my family. There were times I felt homesick, and at least one person was there to make me feel better, I’m going to miss everyone that came on this trip when I get home. I made so many new friendships on this trip, and I can’t believe we’re already leaving tomorrow.
This Alaska trip has changed me in so many ways. I have learned so much more and don’t regret one thing about the time here. I am so glad that I got accepted to AGLP 2006. This whole trip was truly amazing!
