Alaska Is:
Alaska is: that non-stop scenic drive that keeps calling me back.  It’s the place I can be myself and not worry about what other people think.  It’s the place I can meet 60-70 new friends and feel like I’ve known them for years.  It’s the place that I can come back to with Lori and see the things you can’t see with 80 people.  Alaska will always feel like a home away from home.

Final Reflection:
Coming to Alaska for the third time I knew what I could expect to see, but I didn’t know how I would fit in. Being a late addition to the trip and coming for the last two weeks didn’t leave much time to get to know the participants or many of the other drivers. Not to worry, as I was treated as if I had been there the whole time after the initial introductions. I may not remember all the names or some of the faces but I know I’ll remember the experiences we shared. Alaska will always feel like a home away from home. Thanks to all of the AGLP participants, past and present. I’d like to thank Dale Rosene (Ishtar the Pirate) for allowing me to share these experiences for without him there would not be an AGLP!
