Alaska Is...

       Alaska is the race one runs over their life. The race contains hurdles and potholes but also friends to help you along. As one runs he or she realizes how great life is and where his or her place is in it.
       When I visit Alaska I experience so much. I run races and climb mountains. This helps me discover who I am.

Final Reflections

        After traveling to Alaska for three years, I have realized that this trip is not just for the scenery. It is a chance to grow into a better person. You meet new people who help you realize your true self.
        I have changed over the years and have learned to appreciate the land around us. My last two years also changed me into a better leader. I have learned to become ore honest and trustworthy. This trip has been very beneficial to me as a person. The trip is not just about the view; it is about the relationships you make while you are here. I love this trip just for that reason. I have made so many new friends that will always be there for me.
        Next year I will not be returning on the AGLP but in my heart I know I will return someday. The whole state draws you back here with its mountains and streams. I love Alaska like my second home.
