Alaska Is...

       is the home of beautiful things. Everywhere you look, there is either mountains or wildlife to completely take your breath away. No matter how many times you look at the same thing, it’s just as beautiful every time. Alaksa is also a maker of beautiful people. In my experience, it has turned normal people into great people, and great people into exceptional people. It also makes people much more mature. If I had to make a general “Alaska is” statement, it would be that Alaska is beautiful in everyway.

Final Reflections

        Alaska is absolutely astounding. I couldn’t possibly have imagined it to be any better than it already is. Everywhere you look is a “Kodak moment.” Mountains, streams, lakes, bears, moose, caribou, marmots, ptarmigans, humpback whales, and harbor porpoises are some of the things you can see in Alaska, and they take your breath away every time you see them. As my trip draws to a close, I find I have mixed feelings. I’m overjoyed to get to see my family again, yet I’m overwhelmed with sorrow that I’m leaving, and I won’t get to see most of the people on the trip very often. It’s almost as thought the people on the trip are my family as well. My only hope is that if and when I see my AGLP family again, we’ll be just as close as we are now.
