Alaska Is...

one of the best places and opportunities to learn about myself and everyone else on this trip. I have learned to push myself to do things I never imagined I could do. I have also learned to be there for people and that everyone does care. Plus doing my laundry by myself with 80 other people all around me, you learn to just deal with the situation in the best way you can.

Final Reflections

I never imagined in my life that I would be in a place that really makes you take a break and step back to just enjoy the beauty and simplicity of the mountains or lakes. Everyday you are doing something different, seeing something new, a totally different and exciting experience with the people we meet and the sights we see everyday. I never thought I would be scared when a humpback whale swam under a boat I was on, or having a contest to see who could spot the first moose or bear. I never thought I could face my fear of heights and climb two mountains and go bodysurfing down the glacier on or on them. I never thought I could get so close to 79 other people in only three weeks and two days. It is very bittersweet to be going home so soon when it feels like we are just getting started. I do miss to comfort of my own bed and my family. Plus I can’t wait to go home and be able to share this experience with everyone else. After this trip new I can never imagine not being able to see these mountains again or getting to meet 79 amazing people.
