Alaska Is...

a beautiful place where you can forget all of your worries, a place where you go and always change for the better, never for the worse. It’s a place where you climb a mountain and when you get to the top, you look out and have that great feeling of accomplishment and that’s when you know that it was all worth it.

Final Reflections

It’s crazy how much Alaska can change a person in just three short weeks. I will never forget this trip. When I’m older and I look back on all we’ve done, I’ll remember the small things. Hiking up Exit Glacier and pushing myself the whole way and the taking the last step and getting chills because you know that you did it. Then running the 10K and striving to get to the end. When you finally get to that 5 mile marker you sprint the last mile as fast as you can. Then when you run across that finish line and your back hurts and your legs feeling like jello it just doesn’t matter. Because right then you know that the whole thing was all worth it. So when I look back and remember it will be the little things I remember most because that’s what made the difference.
