A Honeymoon in Alaska

How would you like to take your honeymoon camping in Fairbanks, Alaska? Greg Love and his wife Jodie got married in December of 2006, but are taking their honeymoon now because it was the only time that they both could get off work. Greg is now a State Trooper in Oregon, but Greg and Jodie both have worked on the coast of Alaska. They decided that for their honeymoon they wanted to see the interior of Alaska.
Some may wonder why you would chose to go somewhere colder for your honeymoon instead of a traditional warmer honeymoon spot, like the Bahamas or Jamaica. Greg and Jodie came to Alaska for their honeymoon because Jodie has come up to Alaska with her parents before and she really enjoys it here. Jodie grew up in the Mid-West, so she is used to the colder weather. Every year Greg and Jodie try to do something different for the summer solstice. This year they wanted to travel as far north as they could.
Sometimes as you get older you have less time to do things that are important to you, the things that you really want to do. You have to make it up to yourself to do those things even if you have to wait until the time is right. “The begining of the summer is kind of slow for me so it is a good time to get away and take a vacation,” Greg explained.
Greg is the adventurous type, a shorted guy with lots of freckles, red hair and a friendly personality. Greg has to be adventurous because he is a state trooper and that job can put you in a lot of danger. For their honeymoon, Greg and Jodie wanted to be together and have an amazing time with just the two of them and a tent. Most people enjoy Alaska for its beauty and scenery, but Greg and his wife Jodie love Alaska not only for its beauty, but because they get to share it together here.
