Alaska Is...

Alaska is beauty beyond compare to any place I’ve glimpsed upon, whether it be from a picture or from my eyes. It has its own uniqueness that sets it apart from any place in the world. It may not have the pyramids of Egypt, the buildings of Russia, or the culture of Africa, but it does have Denali, Mt. Healy, and the crab fishermen of the Bering Sea that make it special. That’s what I think Alaska is.

Final Reflections

My Alaskan experience is one I won’t ever forget.  The memories I will take home are priceless.  If I have the chance to come back again I just might.  I don’t miss my parents (OK maybe a do miss them a little bit), but I do miss the comforts of home.  Three weeks dulls your memories of home, but it brightens the new memories you make.  When I look back at my journal ten years from now I’ll remember all the fun times I had with Ishtar and the Alaska Great Lakes Project.
