The Mountainous Journey Through Alaska
A Series of Tales by Nick Bolger Part 6

       So far on the trip, Alaska has gone above and beyond Nick Bolgrer’s expectations. From running a 10 K, to climbing a mountain, he is loving the experience. Hoping the journey in Alaska changes him as a person, Nick lives one day at a time- taking in all of the memories.
         Nick’s favorite things about the trip so far are climbing Mt. Healy and the Midnight Sun Run. He said climbing a mountain was, “Pretty amazing. There’s a pretty sweet view up there.”. He enjoyed seeing Denali from the top of the mountain. Nick thought it was a hard climb, but, it was worse going down than going up.
         Already being half- way through the trip, Nick said that he is pretty sad. He told me that it has gone by fast, and it is a pretty cool place up here. Nick also informed me that he will probably come back someday. He would like to be a junior leader for one of the future trips.
         Feeling accomplished and somewhat sad, Nick is happy with the Alaska Great Lakes Project. He has been enjoying himself, and will be upset when it’s over. However, from the positive things he mentioned about Alaska, I do not think this is the last time you will be hearing the name Nick Bolger.
