Alaska Is...

Alaska is…my escape from the everyday.  A frozen paradise.  It’s more than just a vacation, it’s an emotional relaxation.  Coming to Alaska is the best decision I’ve ever made.

Final Reflections

I’m sad to be going home, but I’m happy I’m going home with all these memories.  The beauty of the mountains, and the lakes and oceans, truly seems like something from Hollywood and too beautiful to exist.  I feel like I’ve gained more family members.  After spending 23 days straight with the same people…sure, they can get annoying sometime, but they feel more like family.
I think I’ve become more responsible too.  We weren’t totally dependant on ourselves, but you can’t really depend on somebody to climb a mountain for you.
I was scared to come to Alaska at first.  I was afraid that it wouldn’t turn out the way I hoped, people weren’t going to change (they would stay just in their group of friends) and I was afraid I wouldn’t have as much fun as I did.  Alaska turned out better than I could’ve imagined.  I gained a lot of new friends, and I had the most fun possible.
This really was a great experience and I hope to experience it all again someday.
