Have you ever wondered what parents do when their kids go to Alaska for three weeks? Some parents stay home, wondering what their son or daughter is doing, or go to work and worry about something happening. Certain parents, on the other hand, go to St. John’s in the Virgin Islands.
When Josh Webb went north to Alaska, his parents, Beth and Stu Webb, went the opposite way. They went south to St. John’s Virgin Islands. For a week Beth and Stu went snorkeling almost everyday. They went to five or six beautiful beaches, toured the island’s highlights, and did some shopping. “It was really nice to have that week without Josh,” Beth said.
Even with all the fun the two were having, they still missed Josh. They checked the AGLP website nightly. Because Josh was on the podcasting committee “sometimes we would hear his voice and I would start to cry a little. He’s never been away for so long,” Beth said.
When the two parents arrived home after a long, relaxing week, they unpacked and went off to work the following morning. They still checked the website every night and thought about Josh constantly, wondering what kind of fun he was having in Alaska.
When Josh got home, Beth and Stu were really happy to see him. They enjoyed looking at the pictures he took and listening to all of the stories he had to tell. Most of all, they were really excited to have him home. They were glad he had such a good time on his trip, but even happier that they got to take a little vacation of their own.
