Alaska Is...

Alaska is an adventure where you have many twists and turns. Where you experience climbing mountains and glaciers, and where you watch whales swim in the water while an eagle flies high in the sky. It’s a learning experience with close- and not so close- friends. In the end it doesn’t even matter because you’ve grown with them into a big AGLP family. It’s a trip of a lifetime. In the beginning you are scared and excited and curious, and in the end you don’t want to let go, but you also want to get back to sweet little Marshall, Michigan and hug and kiss all of your family. Alaska is a learning experience that you can’t take in by yourself because you have to do it the AGLP way.

Final Reflections

Alaska is an adventure that I thought at first would be hard and challenging. In the end it was an experience of a lifetime that I am so happy I applied to because I will never forget the moments I climbed the mountains, or being so close to a glacier in the summer, and also seeing a whale breech, and I will never forget when I caught my first fish. I never would have done any of that without the help from my AGLP friends. I feel so sorry for those people who didn’t come because they missed out on an adventure that you would never get in Marshall, Michigan. I will never forget any of these wonderful moments in Alaska.
