Alaska Is...
Alaska is the woodsy smell and the tall pine trees. Alaska is the chirping birds and the buzzing of the bees. Alaska is an experience shared by all those around you. Alaska is waking up early and rocks in your shoes. Alaska is friends and the days that never end. Alaska is the change in both you and the environment. Alaska is the wild that cannot be tamed. Alaska is an amazing place and always will be for me.
Final Reflections
This year I went to Alaska. This year I went to Alaska: I will probably keep reminding myself for a long time and looking in my journal because it seems that it just flew bu. I will remember the big parts but will forget all the details. I will remember the mountains and the one we clombed but not the sounds or the smells. I will remember the people, the good and the bad. I will remember the destinations but forget the journies. Bit I will never forget what Alaska means to me which is a place of change and a place of tradition in the native people and our group. I might forget Alaska but if I do, I have an excuse to come back.
