Blurred Vision by
Waking up once more to the now so familiar air, stepping out to the familiar sun meeting my face, and seeing all the familiar faces of all the people around me. Its funny to think that what was once strange and foreign to many is now a comfort. It's been 10 days in Alaska and yet nothing has been seen twice, it's interesting to know that the comforting is sometimes unknown. Packing up and leaving for the last time we headed for palmer. Looking out of the window as we drove away once more from the security I knew that while it feels like Alaska is apart of our life, in reality, for a little while we were apart of it's life. This thought continued throughout the drive as images of what Alaska really is rushing past through misty window of the van. Alive, one doesn't often think of the fact that nearly everything around you is alive, the trees, the flowers, all have a history before you and will have a future after you, however unclear it may be to us it still remains. What has that mountain seen? How many people have held this branch? Questions that I asked myself but know will remained unanswered. Before realization hit we were at the church once again and headed to the ever familiarity of the pool. The rush of the water as it hits your skin and the sensation sends a rush of reassurance throughout you. Then after a day full of events and sights that we only could have seen in pictures if we didn't come my head hit the pillow ready to see the sun of a new day in the morning.
