Alaska Is...

Alaska is unique, a land made of wild beauty. Alaska is big, majestic in its size. Alaska is amazing, something I wouldn't give for anything.

Final Reflections

When I stepped off the plane at the beginning of this trip, I thought it was going to be the same as the '09 trip when we first went... I was wrong... I got to see new people, try new things, experience new places and animals! I went on the wildflower hike for the first time, it was beautiful. I climbed the Butte in Palmer, it was amazing. I saw a wolf up close for the first time and I saw a whale breech 100 ft from where I stood and thought, "This is Alaska." There is no "same" in Alaska, there's no "exact," no "duplicates" or "repeats." Just experience and memories to share and make. There's a difference between "I can" and "I will." Well, I did.
